WorkinTexas.com will be unavailable during the transition to the new and improved site from August 9 at 6 p.m. to August 19, 2019.

For job candidates:

  • The new website will offer responsive design and improved job matching. New tools like a Virtual Recruiter and Resume Builder along with a Resume Scorer will guide and enhance your job search experience.

  • If you are receiving unemployment benefits, the Unemployment Benefits Services site as well as unemployment benefits, appeals, Tele-Centers, and Workforce Solutions locations are not affected and are open regular business hours to serve you.

For employers:

  • The Texas Workforce Commission is enhancing WorkinTexas.com to improve your hiring experience.

  • The new website will offer responsive design, improved talent matching, access to labor market data, and a Virtual Recruiter to connect you with qualified talent to drive your business forward.

  • The Unemployment Tax Services site as well as appeals, TeleCenters, and Workforce Solutions locations are not affected and are open regular business hours to serve you.

  • Your data in the existing site will transfer, and you will receive notification when the new site goes live.

  • If you need staff assistance, please use the Workforce Solutions Directory to locate your local workforce solutions office.

You can still conduct work search activities while WorkinTexas.com is unavailable. Examples include:

  • Complete and submit a job application or resume in person, online or via fax

  • Make an in person visit or interview with an employer

  • Use the reemployment resources available at a Workforce Solutions office

Will I get my unemployment benefits on time?
Yes, payments will be processed as usual if all eligibility requirements are met.
