With the completion of a huge $5 billion expansion project at the Panama Canal, Houston stands to benefit. The expansion project has doubled the canal's capacity, making it possible to welcome larger ships. This in turn will allow the Port of Houston to import and export more cargo from Asia. With this huge increase, we can expect to see more jobs for Houstonians in the future.
