At Workforce Solutions, it is our mission to help employers meet their workforce needs, as well as help individuals build and grow their careers.
We all work hard to make a difference in our community; and in some instances, there are Workforce Solutions staff members who go beyond expectations to do more for our customers.
The Gulf Coast Workforce Board recognizes that Workforce Solutions staff providing good customer service is critical to the system’s success. The Board recognizes exemplary work by presenting the Workforce Solutions Honeycomb Service Excellence Awards to staff members who demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following categories:
- Innovation and Initiative – This person or group created a new and better way to solve common problems experienced by our customers. The person or group went beyond their prescribed job duties to implement new ideas resulting in a better Workforce Solutions where customers get the help they need more efficiently.
- Teamwork – A group of two or more people from different parts of the system worked together to provide a business customer, an individual customer or both with outstanding service. The team included at least two of the following Workforce Solutions segments — career office, employer service, financial aid payment office, child care quality. As a result of the teamwork from Workforce Solutions staff, the customer experienced good results.
Awards are presented twice a year. Award winners are chosen and recognized at a Gulf Coast Workforce Board meeting. In addition, they receive a framed certificate, a specialized name badge, and a paid day off.
