Education Assistance

Offers Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary classes throughout Fort Bend, Matagorda, and Wharton counties. Delivers instruction for GED preparation; improves basic academic skills such as reading, math, and writing; and develops speaking and writing communication skills for ESL students. Courses are offered during the day and evenings. All instructional services, including books, are provided free of charge.

Housing Services

Straightway Prison Outreach provides transitional housing and other services for men and women. Individuals with sex offenses and those on electronic monitors are not accepted. Rent is $750 per month, which includes all costs (such as counseling). Residents must commit to the one-year program.
