Pre-K Partnerships
The Early Education Quality Team supports formal Pre-Kindergarten Partnerships across the Gulf Coast Region, connecting schools and childcare programs to deliver high quality education and care for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds.
Formal Partnerships
In a formal pre-K partnership, children are enrolled in both a public school Pre-K program and a partnering childcare center. Pre-k instruction, along with before and after school care, takes place at the childcare site, offering working families consistent, high-quality learning and care. The Pre-K teacher may be employed by either the school or the childcare program and must meet designated professional standards.
