Basic Career Services
Basic career services are available to individuals free of charge and are not dependent on eligibility for, or enrollment in, any other workforce services. Visit any one of our Workforce Solutions – Gulf Coast Career Offices and get access to:
- Job search assistance and labor market information
- Orientation to available services and programs
- Information on demand occupations and career pathways
- Referrals to community and supportive services
- Access to WorkInTexas.com for job matching
Individualized Career Services
Individualized career services are also free and offer tailored support for individuals who may need additional assistance in their job search. These services include:
- One-on-one career advising and goal setting
- Resume and cover letter development
- Interview preparation and coaching
- Skills and interest assessments
- Development of an Individual Employment Plan (IEP)
- Support with job applications, networking, and career fairs
Talent Development Services
Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast offers free education and training opportunities to eligible individuals seeking to advance their careers. Our programs include occupational training aligned with in-demand jobs, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) and work experience, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pathways, and support for tuition, certifications, and licensing. Eligible participants also gain access to approved training providers through the Eligible Training Provider List and the Gulf Coast Provider Network. All training services are tailored to individual needs and subject to eligibility and available funding, ensuring you receive the support necessary to build the skills and credentials required for meaningful, in-demand careers.
Specialized Services
Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast offers tailored support for individuals at all stages of their career journey. We help youth and young adults ages 16–24 explore career options, access education support, and gain paid work experience. We assist veterans and transitioning service members, support individuals with disabilities, guide mature job seekers and career changers, and provide resources for TANF/SNAP recipients and others facing barriers to employment. By partnering with community organizations, employers, and training providers, we deliver comprehensive support designed not just to help you find a job, but to build a meaningful and sustainable career.
