Please watch the video below to learn important information about the SNAP Employment & Training program, what to expect, and the steps you must complete before contacting Workforce Solutions to complete your required SNAP Orientation (Employment Planning Session).
What You Need to Do Next
To get started, please complete the steps below:
1. Log in to WorkInTexas.com (WIT)
Create a new account or update your existing profile at:
https://www.workintexas.com
2. Update Your Work Search Profile
Be sure your profile includes:
- Current contact information
- Highest level of education completed
- Job interests and skills
- An uploaded résumé (if available)
3. Upload Your Authorization to Work (I-9) Documents
Upload acceptable I-9 documentation to your WorkinTexas.com profile. View the list of acceptable documents at the USCIS I-9 page: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents
4. Contact Workforce Solutions to Schedule Your SNAP Orientation
After completing Steps 1-3 above, contact or visit your nearest Workforce Solutions career office before the reporting date and time listed on your Workforce Solutions letter to schedule your SNAP Orientation (Employment Planning Session).
SNAP Orientations are completed in a live meeting with Workforce Solutions staff and may be:
- Group or one-on-one
- In person or remote
For remote orientations, staff must be able to see and speak with each customer in real time. If you do not have access to the required technology for a live video meeting, you must complete the orientation in person at a Workforce Solutions office.
