A Letter from Juliet Stipeche, Workforce Solutions Executive Director
Hello Employers!
It may come as no surprise that today’s shifting economic landscape is driving significant change in the workplace as well as among the workforce, and with it, businesses must be increasingly nimble and open to change as never before. The renewed conversations and importance placed on creating work-life balance and fulfilling careers, brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic coupled with the last members of Gen Z entering the workforce in the coming years, will create rippling change throughout all aspects our culture.
In this edition of The Edge, you will find:
- Insights on what matters most to today’s workers;
- Information on our Summer Youth Internship Program enabling your business to leverage workforce-ready youth while receiving available subsidies to cover their wages; and
- 2022 Labor Market Data as well as upcoming webinars and success stories from local businesses – and more.
As employers and business leaders throughout the greater Houston-Galveston region, we must be ready and equipped to lead the change we wish to see in our workplace. As we look forward to continuing to provide you with compelling content to support you and your business, please share with us your biggest workplace and HR challenges and what you would like to see in upcoming newsletters.
Until next time,
Juliet Stipeche
