From SEAL Intern to Data Processing: Bryce Turner Builds Skills for His Future

For Bryce Turner, the Summer Earn & Learn (SEAL) Program has provided more than a summer work experience. It has given him opportunities to build skills, explore his interests, and gain experience in a professional setting.

This summer, Bryce worked as a data entry and data processing intern at First Source Adjusters School in Houston, where he took on assignments involving company emails, text alerts, spreadsheets, and data tracking.

Through the internship, Bryce was able to strengthen his analytical and technology skills while gaining experience with workplace systems and processes.

“He thoroughly enjoyed his internship,” his mother, LaToria Moore, shared in a message following the SEAL Celebration. “He was able to learn sooo much.”

Building Experience Through SEAL

Bryce has participated in the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program since age 14, and this summer marked his third time participating in SEAL.

The paid work experience has given him opportunities to apply his skills in different workplace settings while continuing to explore his career interests.

His experience at First Source Adjusters School also connected with his studies. Bryce is a computer science major at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, where he has maintained a 3.4 cumulative GPA and earned Dean’s List and Honor Roll recognition.

He is scheduled to graduate in December 2026.

Looking Ahead

As Bryce prepares for graduation, the experience he gained through SEAL adds another piece to his career preparation.

His summer internship allowed him to work with data, spreadsheets, communication tools, and technology while learning more about the expectations of a professional workplace.

For Bryce and his family, the opportunity represents another step forward in a journey that began years ago.
